Hey, all.

Just a general bulletin that I am moving accounts. This name, although I love it and it has served me for a long time, is no longer relevant to me nor my creations. As such, I won't be uploading anything else to this account and all the submissions here will be removed.

If you are so inclined, feel free to rewatch me at extinctinks

Thanks for all the support over the years! See you around!
I'm reopening commissions in a limited capacity, as convention season is upon us and the need for custom badges is growing.

For $20 USD, you can get a custom badge done in ink and marker on 2.5" x 3.5" bristol, with free shipping.

Lamination is an option for an additional $1 per badge.

Examples:

Commissions are closed for the time being.

They will open up in a limited capacity (basically I will only be offering commissions for a certain type of drawing... like chibis or something) at a point in the future while I sort out some things and work on my portfolio. I will post a bulletin when they open up again.

In the mean time, I have prints, shirts and stickers up for sale on :bulletred: RedBubble :bulletred:

I'm currently open for commissions!

Well, in all honesty, I'm generally always open for commissions but I don't always actively promote myself.

I'm running four (4) slots at a time, to avoid burning myself out and generating a backlog. First come, first serve. If you don't score a slot the first time, check back in a few days and see if one has opened up again!

Here's a very basic rundown of services/rates (these are subject to change based on particulars in a piece):

:bulletblue: Linework (uncolored, minimal detailing) - example: $10

:bulletblue: Icons (400x400, digitally colored) - $12

:bulletblue: Digital (cel-shaded) - example: $25

:bulletblue: Digital (“painted”/soft-shaded) - example: $35

:bulletblue: Marker - example: $40

:bulletblue: Colored pencil - example: $55

:bulletblue: Inkwork (black and white) - example: $75+ (depends on complexity)

:bulletblue: Con Badges (Can be done in any of the above media, 3x4" size) Furry, anime, whatever - $15

:bulletblue: Tattoo designs (can be done in ink, marker, colored pencil or any combination of those) - example: Start at $50 and can go up depending on complexity and time involved

Note: Inkwork takes the longest, which is why it’s generally the most expensive. Lineart and digital pieces are usually the quickest to finish, with marker being moderate and colored pencil being between marker and ink, time-wise.

Shoot me a note :note: or email me :email: to get a personalized quote based on your idea. Please be aware I only accept paypal at the moment.

I suppose you could call it spring cleaning.

I've decided to clean out my site's gallery ( art.deadtrilobite.net ), making it more of a proper portfolio. Now, only the best of my work will go up there, the rest will go here. That's not to say I won't upload my best here too... I will! I'll just also be uploading sketches, doodles, and stuff that isn't quite portfolio-worthy.

To that end, I've decided to upload some older pieces I feel aren't too terribly bad, so if you see stuff that's not as good as my current work, that's why. It'll be out of chronological order, but oh well... what can ya do?

My group-a-groups~

Hey~

I've got an account over on MangaBullet.

If any of you guys are on there, add me! Or join!

I'm only going to be uploading anime/manga-esque stuff there. I figure more exposure is good, no?

And, of course, my groups:

A good friend of mine started up a group based around an idea you may have seen done elsewhere before. Basically, people submit original characters and each month, one is selected as the subject for others to draw. People draw the character, submit their entries and at the end of the month, votes are tallied up for whichever drawing was the favorite.

Whoever wins the "contest" is able to choose one of their own characters to be the subject for the next month. So on and so forth.

In this case, I won for January and now my character, Skogul, is the subject for this month. Information on that here: monthly-oc.deviantart.com/blog…

It's fun and good for inspiration when you hit an artistic dryspell. Plus, who can resist free fanart of your original character(s)?

:iconmonthly-oc:

Oh, and of course, my groups:

It's a new year and a new decade. I should probably draw more. Yeah.

Now that the groups feature is live, I've taken advantage of it, both by joining existing groups and making a couple of my own.

:iconphysiologus:
Is a group for those who enjoy creating and/or drawing fantastical creatures from pure imagination, our own history or the works of others. Ethereal and delicate or horrific and grotesque, this is a group for enthusiasts of mythology, horror, paleontology, legend and folklore and creature design.

:iconfibermancy:
Is dedicated to the art and science of fiber-based artisan crafts; namely knitting and crochet, although latch-hooking, macrame, weaving, spinning and cross-stitch are also included in this umbrella term. I hadn't seen a dedicated knitting-related group up yet, so I took the liberty to make one.

I feel like I've accomplished something; I really haven't, so this is perplexing me.

I'm also knitting a dice bag. Am I a nerd yet?
